No sales types, please

That's a fairly accurate French description of the telephone sales types (and a nice bit of Georges Brassens, in case you are wondering). The above address and this website belong to a private individual (not a business) who does not appreciate receiving "courtesy calls" from companies he has never dealt with.

No spam please, I'm a veggie

I'll just say that again: please do not quote my email address, but keep it to yourself. Why?

Well, in my last job I used my work address on various bulletin boards and mailing lists, and as a result, I got tonnes of spam every morning and all day (hint, the spammers subscribe to all the mailing lists, and search them for email addresses; just grep for something@somewhere). The same thing can happen when your email address is listed on a website (start with some random web sites, e.g. by doing a Google search, and then follow the links from one site to another, again searching for something@somewhere on every page you get).

In other words, if your email address is on the internet in a readable form, you run the risk of being opted in for 'useful' unsollicited emails (spam). That is why I only use an image and not text (and hope the b*st*rds don't use OCR). So please don't quote my email address, I really can't sit around waiting for the spam to download whenever I use my slow BT dialup connection at home.
