As you get to Marske, don't let the housing estate put you off; just keep following the coast line, through the sand dunes, through a little valley, and then onto the beach at Church Howle.

On the beach, you can either turn right, and walk straight back to Saltburn; or turn left and have a look at the picturesque side of Marske (boats moored on the beach at the next howle).
